Good choice of food for breakfast including fresh fruit, toast, coffee, butter, and bread. All in all magnificent and incredible setting really close to other very pleasant walking areas along the river, and a canal. Easy walk to Oltrarno.

The hotel was in an ideal location very close to Firenze's key tourist attractions, the Oltrarno restaurant district, which is marvelous, and the Arno river in Florence. Florence Historic Center district was definitely worth visiting.

The staff at Hotel Silla is very hospitable. Check-in was efficient. The bar was busy. They offer free parking. The breakfast is sumptuous and abundant with incredible fresh honey from a real honeycomb. The terrace has good service. The hotel has a central location, not too far from a picturesque medieval arched river bridge.

I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of my room at Hotel Silla. With a double bed, a single bed, and room for a baby bed, it was perfect for my family. Despite not having a view, the room was super quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. I highly recommend paying for a space in the garage to avoid the chaotic streets and constant car fines. The breakfast buffet had all the usual items, but what really impressed my kids was the automatic pancake machine. The hotel's location around the corner from the Ponte Vecchio made it convenient for exploring Florence on foot. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Good facilities and above average and more than adequate breakfast with delicious cappuccino and scrambled or soft boiled eggs and fresh bread, reasonably priced.

The hotel was on the other side of the river from the city, close enough, just 5 mins walk, but nice and quiet in the evening. In a really old building, very quaint, breakfast terrace was lovely (smell from jasmine bushes was magnificent). A few close restaurants/bars if you have walked yourself out in the day and don't want to go too far in the evening. Private parking in hotel garage available. This is an absolute necessity if you have a car.
Not so much the hotel, but getting to is by car was a nightmare. This is a problem of the city, not the hotel. Many of the streets were closed to cars during the day, meaning you have to pick your way thru the city, using streets without restrictions. I went round and round. Couldn't really work out why some of the streets restricted, cos many cars just using these streets. Eventually, I found my way and my car was thankfully taken off to private hotel garage. Hotel parking absolute must!! If you are driving. Beware that driving is very hard in Florence, to get into the city and to get out. Hotel parking facilities were great!
